When did LM promise to have v2.5 for this year? I only recall plans for v2.4 being delivered before the end of the year.

Correct, LM committed thru v2.4 for 2014.  However I can report v2.5 will be out early next year so stay tuned and a happy holidays to you all.

Cheers, Rob.

Who says you can't get blood out of a rock;-)

If its January that will coincide with my system maintenance plans perfectly.

Good news! Thanks for the update! Good to be part of some real progress instead of thinking that some repackaged old software will the next big thing...

I'd be happy to know if 2.5 is actually in the works and they're not going straight to 3.0.  :smile2:

Going to 3.0 would create an apocalyptic freeze in EULA spacetime.

However LM probably has an applicable defroster device somewhere in their workplace .

Yes ...some times even Flight Sim Programs do progress and get better. We just have to get some folks to learn to accept the word...."Yes" Our problem is not so much that Developers are not giving us better products. Our problem is trying to stop folks from slapping them in the face or insults every time they make an announcement. To the 99.9% who are having fun...Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas. To the other 00.1....well.....you know..here is someone who understands you...LOL!! :t0117:

Cheers to a 2.5. I need clippings, shadows, water(regardless of REX patches), and all else fixed.

Given you have a "messed up" install (per your own post), you might want to do a fresh install and not request folks send you specific files.  These issues aren't going to be "fixed" because they aren't broken and work on a base v2.4 fresh install.

Cheers, Rob.

Cool! Looking forward to re-installing P3D v2 provided 2.5 fixes all the show-stopping bugs they introduced with 2.3 and 2.4 without breaking something else in the process.

I look forward to installing the update. Reinstalling P3D and all of my addons is not something that I want to be thinking about any time soon!

Do we have any idea what's being fixed? Hopefully the terrain shadows will be completely fixed this time, plus I'm still waiting for the transparent ATC window.

I hear that Chris.  I stopped w/ updates every time after installing 2.2 which I'm still using.   If 2.5 looks good I'll do the clean full install then.
