Any news on P3D V2.5?

Recommended Posts

I suspect that any version 3 of P3D will be the 64bit version, and I doubt that we will see that any time soon. I am reasonably confident that there will be a version 2.5.

So nobody really knows what LM is doing? Weather their will be a V2.5 or V3?

Well, I am stupid; thank you. Do you think LM will ever make V3 soon, after V2.5 that is?

Please pardon my awful English. :-)

If the nvidia 1/2 refresh works in 2.5, Good bye FSX...

Hi,

i really hope they have found smtg. against those annoying microstutters i still have...

They actually already have a fix for that - its called i7 4770k@6.2GHz (Liquide Nitro cooling)....and your stutters are gone  :Alien:  :Whew:

Most of the issues with 2,4 have already been mentioned - except the

long overdue overhaul of the MAP - Feature (flight planning).... which still is sooooooo retro.......

regards

X2 - allthough I erased FSX months ago. (Micro)stutters are THE issue of P3D. I wonder how P3Dv2 runs on Lockheeds' own full-motion sim-rigs, and what hardware they run on.

Most likely the same.  Unless they have access to hardware that is being developed by their skunkwerks team that is top secret.

Why is it that some people experience microstutters in P3D? That certainly isn't the case on my PC. P3D runs smoother and more consistently than FSX ever did on my old PC.

Who knows, could be caused by hardware, hardware drivers, Windows setup, Anti-virus, addons etc.

Anyway. V2.5 is in the works as confirmed by Rob.

64-bit is still in the blue accoring to John Venema of ORBX who said 64-bit is not on the horizon.

Really? In the Prepar3D forums a 64-bit version has been confirmed both by Wes Bard and a moderator.

Yes, but is it anywhere near the horizon? That's the question.

There's a difference between being on the horizon and being near the horizon. Wes specifically said that 64-bit is in their roadmap, but it's not an easy task (I think he said something about pressing compile buttons).

Will be neat if they can do it. It will be a milestone, and maybe finally it will make sense to get those 3x or 4x SLI computers. Just saw Samsung introducing a huge S9W 21:9 SUHD TV that would be awesome for flight simming: http://4kfilme.de/neue-samsung-suhd-4k-fernseher-mit-tizen-os-ces-2015/

32-bit/64-bit has nothing to do with SLI. FYI

DirectX Optimized w/ custom nVidia drivers w/ full SLI support for P3D V3.0 64-bit.  Has to be a good 3 years out at least I would think.

The who project ends up stilted w/o 64-bit, regardless of better CPUs/GPUs.
