December 10, 201411 yr This is probably a really old topic but my GA planes look a lot larger than the AI GA planes next to me.Like my Cessna 172 is on steroids. It is same with ORBX NA Scenery and default.Sorry if this is a silly comment but I am curious. Thanks,Ron Sorry,Not for sure about Cessna 172,will have to look at that but definitely the Aerosoft Beaver .DHC-2.Ron Bring back Chief Illiniwek!University of Illinois.
December 10, 201411 yr An optical illusion I guess, though possibly to do with the level of zoom you are using - are you using 100%? December 10, 201411 yr Which C172 are you using? The default C172 does look a bit smaller compared to the Carenado and A2A models, but if you're flying the default one, any size difference between your main aircraft and the AI aircraft is an optical illusion.
December 10, 201411 yr Author Zoom factor.Good point.I am at .40 in locked spot.I will look at that. Now that I think about it I think they look OK in cockpit mode.Have to wait till tonight to find out. Thanks for the input,Ron Bring back Chief Illiniwek!University of Illinois.
December 10, 201411 yr Some older models might indeed not be to scale. I have one older plane which is about twice the size of a payware offering. Easy to see on the runway when you compare them directly. Sascha Rieger | EVO Developer What is EVO • How to get Evo 2016 • FS9 Evolution Forum
December 10, 201411 yr I recall a thread about the pmdg 744 vs default. The default is definitely smaller if you view them side by side. Pmdg used the accurate dimensions while ms used, well, "shortcuts". Andrew Farmer My flight sim blog: Fly, Farmer, Fly!
