Aerosoft Anchorage in Orbx SAK.

Recommended Posts

I want to install Aerosoft Anchorage in Orbx SAK.  I understand there are installation instructions for doing that in the Orbx forum but being banned from Orbx I have no access to it.

I went to the Aerosoft website but they just link you the Orbx forum.

Does anyone here know how to make that installation?

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

I did a regular install of the PANC scenery and in Library settings I have Anchorage Airport above my SAK scenery.  I do not have Anchorage - Terrain checked.  There is another procedure that involves deleting files which I did not want to do.

The best way is Billy's suggestion above, Anchorage above Orbx and no Anchorage terrain. I might have removed the Orbx AFCAD and Orbx CVX file. Does anyone recall for sure?

Thanks guys, but a funny thing happened this morning.

I posted this to the Orbx Limited Users Forum mentioning that I was unable to get the installation instructions because I was banned from the Orbx Community.

Well, this morning I tried to access the Limited User's Forum to see if there was a reply and to my amazement my ban seems to have been lifted.  I was able to get to the Aerosoft Anchorage compatibility thread  and now have Aerosoft's Anchorage installed.  Lake Hood looks great too.

Now that I seem to back in the good graces of the Orbx Community let's see if I can behave myself and not get banned again.

Can you tell me how you installed PANC to make it compatible with ORBX SAK. I am interested in buying the Aerosoft PANC product.

Thanks

Don

That's correct, but I did not remove the Orbx afcad. Disabling "Anchorage terrain" is all that needs to be done.

if you want to retain the photoreal from PANC, then there is a slightly more involved process of moving some specific files into a subfolder.

the complete information is available on orbx forums right here. it includes some comparisons of how it looks depending on which method you use. http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/56575-aerosofts-panc-ted-stevens-international-airport-by-sim-wings-compatibility-with-ftx-southern-alaska-sak/

I live in the 64 Bit Orbx World and I require any addon I purchase to more or less blend with my installed Orbx Scenery.

Before I spend money on other than Orbx scenery I check with the designer to see if they use the Orbx Global as the foundation for their design.  Most of them do and they blend well with my scenery.

It is my fervent hope that all of the new Aerosoft Pro lines meet this requirement.  They sell several titles that I would like to add to my sim.
