Next gen GTA flying (with virtual cockpits)

Hi all,

 

I see Rockstar have added virtual cockpits in their G-T-A-5 series for XBox-One and PS4. 

(Sample video enclosed).

 

And as you probably know, GTA5 has finally been announced for the PC -so plenty of scope for flight-based mods etc; plus a chance to finally fix the dreaded helicopter wobble :-).

 

As a long-term user of FSX I'm all in favour of the GTA series expanding its virtual flying with each new series, especially since millions of teenagers play this open-world game regularly and many will naturally develop a deeper interest in flight simulators and flying as a result.

like the idea actually as all buy gta if got c152 or v35 based plane.

Yes..C152 etc would be great.  Maybe in the PC version ;-)

Far more advanced than any flight sim. Rockstar pushing tech on enviromental effects hope to see future flight sims have it. GTA VI will have ga planes vfr sectionals of GTA world that be awesome. Always like San Andreas backdrop reminds me early 90s era .

Totally agree.  I mean, imagine a whole-world flightsim with this level of detail and weather etc......

I wish they would have made it a glass cockpit it looks off with steam gauges. I can't wait for the pc version and some mods. I'd love to see Carenado convert a few of their planes for it

Hi Z,

 

I've seen a couple of GTA next gen videos where a heli had cockpit relections..so maybe these can be turned on or off.

As much as im looking forward to the release of this im really hoping the game will be as optimized as good as the past GTA games where, Some resent big game release run terrible on PC

Very true ...so lets hope for a smooth PC port.

 

Re PS4. After trying GTA5 on PS4 yesterday, which I enjoyed, I will now be aiming for the PC version instead since there seems to be a known issue of the PS4 losing save-game data (which happened to me yesterday). Plus Sony in their wisdom have made the new dual-shock controllers on the PS4 bluetooth connection only wheareas on the PS3 you could disable bluetooth by plugging in the usb cable. (I consult on health and safety in relation to electromagnetic devices in the home, and the PS4 and the controller both emit a fair amount of microwave radiation which I've measured with a meter. So I prefer not to hold these controllers in my hands if I have an alternative in the forthcoming PC version).
