PNG Tour #2 – The Central Highlands of Papua New Guinea

Recommended Posts

Me too. This is my aircraft.cfg entry:

[fltsim.1]
title=PC-6C_H2 Susiair
sim=PC-6C_H2
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=susiair
kb_checklists=
kb_reference=
atc_id_color=0x00ff0000
atc_id=PK-VVZ
ui_manufacturer=Pilatus
ui_type="PC-6C"
ui_variation="Susiair"
description=
atc_heavy=0
atc_id_font=Verdana,-11,1,600,0
ui_createdby="Piglet's Peculiar Planes"
visual_damage=1
prop_anim_ratio = 1.72

How does that differ from Nick's?

Anyway, a very good session last night with another good turnout. :smile:

The chat at the end of the flight saw me 'Robed' as in conned convinced into buying the Lionheart Epic LT. Admittedly it does have whiskers on it, it's quite nice. I'll get on with it well in the race....I hope. :Whistle:

Ron,

 Yes the repaint setup was confusing to setup. As Bry wrote

Replacement textures for Susi  "They overwrite existing ones in PC-6 texture folder"

That means that the original title "PC-6C_H2" would have been used. But... Bry had entered  "PC-6C_H2   (Tim  "Piglet"  Conrad )" into the spreadsheet. This is what I did to preserve the original paint & have either one of the 2 entries for Bry work.

Created a folder called "texture.susi" then copied all the files from the original texture folder over to it. Copied the 2 files from the repaint zip to "texture.susi" and overwrote the originals.

Then in the aircraft.cfg I renamed -

[fltsim.0]
title=PC-6C_H2

to

[fltsim.0]
title=PC-6C_H2_Air America

That was to preserve the Air America paint. Then I created 2 more sections to provide the "assumed" title & the one entered into the spreadsheet for Bry. (Showing all)

[fltsim.0]
title=PC-6C_H2_Air America
...
texture=

_________________________________________________

[fltsim.1]
title=PC-6C_H2
...
texture=susi

_________________________________________________

[fltsim.2]
title=PC-6C_H2   (Tim  "Piglet"  Conrad )
...
texture=susi

All in all not too much work but it proves that the "title=" must be exact as the player using the paint. At least it didn't show up on  your system as the Aircreation Trike.

Yes indeed, a great showing! A great plan and flight! So many repaints in fact that each time I changed a view it took a couple of seconds for each one to redraw. ( Worth it!)

Photos of the flight to come later this eve.

Jeff, from your screenshot it looks like your T5 temps are getting close to the.....

I must say that the Epic deserves a better representation in FSX. I's buy a RealAir Epic straight away! I'm even beginning to like glass! :o
