You might to also want to look at www.ashampoo.com as they have a free version of Burning Studio that should do the job.

Free disk burning software that creates/burns ISO: BurnAware.

Excellent product, even does bluray if you so need it.

What about the new FSX in Steam? What is their price. I don't know anything about Steam or if their version is the same old FSX or something else. But I am curious. Why would you buy FSX when you can buy P3D with factory support?

I saw a copy of it in my local Game Store recently for just £12.  Wish I had bought a few copies !

If you could share a preferred method for making an ISO copy or have a handy link available it would be much appreciated.

Google search found this article with simple instructions...

Another place to look is your local Craigslist (if you're in the US, that is). People are always clearing out their PC game collections, and one can invariably find a copy or 2 of FSX out there amidst the sales.

I just saw one listed on the Carbondale/Marion, Illinois Craigslist website for $15 bucks.  Not sure if it's the Gold version though

This has been posted before (believe by MGH - Gerry). Those prices are for FSX purchases from dealers in the Far East and probably using their currency, not US currency.

I think they're  selling using US dollars on amazon.com.

Wouldn't the laws of supply and demand mean that with unlimited FSX availability on Steam, likely for a reasonable price, that nobody is going to pay $300 for FSX in boxed form?  It's not as if a box of FSX is like a wrapped vinyl copy of Sgt Pepper's.  If somebody really needs the box, perhaps just wait a week, and it might just be that vendors are giving them away for peanuts.

I think you'd be surprised by what some people are prepared to pay..

Glad I bought the Gold edition for 9.99 six months ago. Just opened a few days ago.
