REX4 Texture Direct sp2 released

Hello guys,

 

For everyone having Rex Texture Direct, head over the their forum to dl SP2.

Just checked and I have animated waves till above 11.000ft  without having edited any files.

( did not have the time to test any higher )

Haven't had time to install the update yet, but what water settings are required to have less static water at altitude? Hopefully not "ultra" because this is way too hard on the frames when flying tubeliners.

On my pc I only have animated water when set to Ultra...

 

You can try both 32 bit and DXT1 water textures and see if it helps ( The texture size is 1024 )

In Rex Essential + OD you can choose the water texture resolution : 1024 / 512 / 256

 

I am wondering what looks better : 32 bit 512 or  DXT1 1024 ?

Water's still frozen on my system (v2.3).  I tried 32-bit and DXT1.  Water is set to Ultra.

Yes...I installed water textures and animations.  Tried various combinations of things and changed various settings in P3D.  Still frozen.

Don't forget to delete the shader file. I believe that is necesssary.

Does that fix the detached water reflections in Prepar3D 2.4?

 

Afaik this is a P3D bug, but they mush have done something for sure. This update made wonders at least for my water reflections!
