December 20, 201411 yr Does one still have to add the many .cfg tweaks to the fsx.cfg when installing this version
December 20, 201411 yr [steam forums] "Any good free mods?" "Looking for free mods that totally transform graphics!" "Plans to put all add-ons on Steam?" "Any free add-ons?" Oh you poor, innocent things... No information on today's small update though. Let's hope that it contained the missing SDK tools. 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days

Direct them to the library here or on those sites starting with F or S and wait for questions like "How do I install this", "Why doesn't xyz work?", etc... 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days
December 20, 201411 yr I decided to purchase FSX-SE just as a hedge against the future. I haven't downloaded anything, and don't really want to right now. I know nothing about Steam so have a few questions: 1. I now have FSX-SE, and something called the Steam application, in my Steam library. Can they stay there indefinitely, or do I need to download them within some time limit? 2. Apparently I will need to install the Steam application before I can download FSX-SE -- is that correct? 3. I have two computers, can I eventually download FSX-SE to either one, or both? Thx, Al

Yes, you can install it on both. I'm not sure if you can play it on both computer at the same time, though. i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
December 20, 201411 yr Moderator Can you use flight sim controls for it? I wouldn't be interested in buying steerings wheels etc I've been using my CH Yoke and Pedals for over a year now on ETS2! I assign the left toe brake to the truck's brake, and the right toe brake to the accelerator... I assign the buttons on the yoke to control other functions such as cruise control, horn, etc. Fr. December 20, 201411 yr . Can they stay there indefinitely, or do I need to download them within some time limit? I have 28 games in my Steam Library but ever only 2 maybe installed, no time limit at all. Apparently I will need to install the Steam application before I can download FSX-SE -- is that correct? I never did anything extra, Steam does all that, it creates a Steam Library in the hd or ssd of your choice, one click and chill out I have two computers, can I eventually download FSX-SE to either one, or both? When you log into your Steam account from a different device or computer you need to enter a pin number that will be emailed to your email addy. Actually i don't know if you can play both on computers though. JIM some help here please
December 20, 201411 yr Actually i don't know if you can play both on computers though. JIM some help here please Yes, you can, just like MS FSX.
December 20, 201411 yr I bought the Steam Edition as many have done to get the sale price and as a backup. Can anyone comment on the Windows 8.1 (dare I mention Windows 10?) compatibility? Is the FSXSE more fully Win 8.1 compatible?
December 20, 201411 yr I am curious to know how a dual install (FSX AND Steam edition) will work. Anyone try that yet? Any downsides? Got both installed and working just fine on my machine. Lots to like on the Steam edition and at least two add-ons working well - FSTramp and MyTrafic Professional 5.4b so far. December 20, 201411 yr Moderator Does one still have to add the many .cfg tweaks to the fsx.cfg when installing this version I haven't touched the fsx.cfg (or the fsx-se.cfg on my regular fs computer). 3. I have two computers, can I eventually download FSX-SE to either one, or both? You can install to as many computers as you own. You can only use one at a time if connected to Steam, but can run all of them at the same time in 'off-line' mode. Fr.
