FSX-MS Make the magenta route on gps thicker?

Is there a way to make the magenta line on the GPS thicker? I find it hard to see when in VC view...

 

Any suggestions?

How comfortable are you with editing .XML gauges?

 

I briefly looked through the GPS 500 and found one instance of FlightPlanLineWidth="2.5"

 

I changed it to FlightPlanLineWidth="5.0"

 

Here is a before and after...
