That was stupid. All of the wheels are now going to require replacing as well as the tires...

Upon visual inspection, those tires where only flat at the bottom. They were still round all the rest of the way around so they were mostly fine....should be fine

The damage to the ramp area as well as the bogey assembly will probably mean a date for "tea and biscuits" for the Captain .

I find it baffling. He would have known it required more power to taxi than normal, and apparently the tower advised he had a lot of smoke coming from the right gear. The debris and damage shut down runway 15, plus taxiways and aprons for over 3 hours at Rio.

Oddly enough, the link worked for me this afternoon. Massive damage there on the underside of the wing and flaps. "Uh oh, better call Maco!"
