Merry Christmas to you too 😄

Still many issues with MSFS 2020 and new ones being discovered... e.g. the sim picking the same texture versions independent on what the sim.cfg indicates....

But for those lost in the past with FSX or P3D or even more lost back in the sixties fDC-6 or Lockheed Constellation there are news... today I start Beta testing Global Classic AI Ship Traffic with around 200 ships from the fifties and sixties on route to e.g. New York, Miami, Havana, Southampton, Hong Kong, Copenhagen, Buenos Aires, Le Havre, Cherbourg; Bergen, Oslo, Lisbon,...

Great News! Looks very good.

Any date for a first release? Even with a limited number of boats.
Happy New Year!

The Global Classic AI Ship Traffic V1 has been uploaded to Avsim today; hopefully it should become available in the next 24 hours 😄 250 ships representing shipping in the sixties.

Hello,

Do we need to uninstall the previous versions already installed and running ok?

Or do we install the new V1 version above the old one installed?

Thanks in advance

Forget my question I found the answer in the .txt

Sorry for being slow in responding... But yes, it is advisable as some routes are overlapping - however, so far no one has complained so you could potentially have both the new Global Classic AI Ship Traffic and the modern ship traffic at the same time if you have a decent computer.

Finally we are getting there with the Beta for MSFS... Below a few screenshots from todays testing. The file structure has been completely updated as the MSFS ai engin does not pick the models in the same way as FSX and therefore only a minor share of the different repaints showed with the Quick&Dirty direct transfer and conversion. Also almost 300 models had to be recompiled to show transparencies correctly and a lot of old FS9 models had to have a rework of the textures. But now they are all there, where they should be.

@KL791      this is looking so good.... it's going to be a miserable 10-12 days waiting  :P

Quick question - do the ships have start / stop states, or are they always moving?

Also - I'm working on some landmark scenery for St Petersburg and there's a lot of scheduled hydrofoil service there, I was going to take a stab at including the Meteors, trying to use the same techniques are you're using. Are you doing anything special on the hydrofoils - ie do you have them raising up onto the foil or are they always up on the foil? ( or whatever the proper nautical term is )

Cheers! Really looking forward to this - great work!
