January 5, 201511 yr Recently purchased the product. I am unable to get the 1st officer PFD to come on from the Cold & Dark status when I power up. I have tried to let the FS2Crew power up the plane and still the right side displays remain dark. Suggestions. Ken Thompson i7-4790 @4 GHz 64 Bit Win 7 16G RAM GTX 1080Ti
January 5, 201511 yr Could it be the display selector knob is in the wrong position? sorry for the lack of technical garble, but the knob which allows you to choose what is on the display, when turned to the left I believe, will render the FO PFD blank. That's the only thing I can think of at the moment. I am assuming this is after you have aligned the IRS's?
January 5, 201511 yr Please review the PMDG forum rules, specifically the requirement for full names on our posts here. A couple of things might be happening here. First, if "power up" means on battery power then this behavior is correct. Secondly, I have no idea what FS2Crew does, I know it's a good product but I don't use it. Check out their forum. And also to second poster, names please. Thanks. Dan Downs KCRP
January 5, 201511 yr Author The knobs are on "normal". If I start the plane in the "running" config they are all on. The screens even look different. The pilot screens look like they have a "reflection" or cold state while the 1st officer's screens are simply black. Sorry, wasn't aware of the rule. My name is Ken Thompson. I think I have fixed it. After connecting to ground power the came to life. Sorry for the bother and thanks for your response. I have flown the IFly 737 for a long time so I know the basics of the 737 but still learning the PMDG as I read through the manuals while attempting to physically run the aircraft. January 5, 201511 yr Right, you can add your name to every post automatically using the forum settings (your username drop down box upper right corner). Every device and light bulb in the PMDG simulation electrically behaves like the real aircraft. So on battery power only, you only have certain equipment that will be powered. The details are in the FCOM but an important overview is the INTRODUCTION document. I recommend you read this carefully. You could skip stuff like failures or liveries for now but spend time on the overviews, tips from beta testers and discussion of systems. Welcome to the PMDG 737, the realism is going to blow your socks off. Dan Downs KCRP
