Just wondering if there is a general consensus if this is a good add-on to my traffic or not? Also I have been using UT2 for quite sometime but I am finally flying longer flights and I am noticing again airports in other countries have quite a few daedelus repaints. So I figured instead of trying to do what I did for the USA and replace all the planes/paints I would just try Mytraffic again since it seems to have that traffic covered. 

 

Also I am using 45% airline traffic density is that a normal setting to reflect RW flight operations or should it be higher or lower? 

 

My other question is. With Mytraffic is there a way to update the liveries? I noticed American Airlines still has there old silver colors, and I think it was a RJ190 had the old United Airlines colors. Not a big deal by any means just curious if there was a way to fix those. 

I think the general consensus, if you will, is, "let's agree to disagree". There are users who say MT performs better than UT2, and those who report the oppposite. Then there's the issue with the detail and "beautiy" of the used models.

 

From what I remember, the recommended setting for MTX is either around 20 or 40% (40 seems more reasonable to me, but it's been a while since i've had any traffic addon installed), everything above that settign turns out unrealistic, because it adds aircraft only for the sake of filling large airports without considering any realism (e.g. you may find shoert haul aircraft of european airlines at South American hubs etc.).

 

Finally about updating liveries: I've never tried this myself, but I guess it's not that complicated, once you have found the repaints for the aircraft in question. In that case, I'd simply copy and rename the original texture folder as abackup and insert the new textures into the original texture folder. that way you don't have to fiddle with aircraft.cfg files and flight plans. The downside of that would be that you have only this one variant showing (which I guess wouldn't matter in the case of AA, though). But I don't know if repaints for the AI aircraft exist already.

Great thank you very much for the information. Yea I actually noticed quite a big bump in FPS using MTX but I am sure that's because I have so many UT2 planes installed. I was able to find there forums and it appears the AA repaint was suggested but the creator likes the old AA version better haha so it wasn't updated which is fine.
