One of the Best Purchases I've Ever Made

Does it get rid of the "tunnel" effect when flying through rain / snow.  I am guessing it would not because these are probably effects baked into FSX.

Yes it does you can look out the side window and see it passing but there is no tunnel at the front

I already use the features found in the DX10 Scenery Fixer for both slowing the snow down as well as making the default rain slightly more grey and find it much better than default FSX but I take it using this addon makes it even better?

I'm not sure about this , although I have both I haven't tested them separately

Did a search on YouTube trying to find a good comparison video between having this installed and default FSX when it comes to what you see from the v/c but most videos were either P3D or from an external point of view.

Anyone knows of a good video where you get to see the effect in FSX from the v/c?

I like to see a video of the snow effects as well, but could only find a youtube video of the snow when the aircraft was moving. I like to see how it looks when your sitting still to see how much slower it actually is.

In a way I wonder if the lack of YouTube videos showing the effects from virtual cockpit such as rain and snow has its natural cause...that the improvement isn't that much to show.

Still a very low price on this addon so might get it anyway finding out myself.

If the default rain and snow in FSX bother you (and they did me) then £11 on this addon makes that annoyance go away. Bargain.

The improvement to rain and snow when viewed from the VC is worth the money alone in my mind. It completely removes that strange tunnel or vortex effect you see on a default set up... Flying in precipitation with this and ASN running is a marked improvement...

If you can see the wings from your VC (for example small, high performance GA or warbird, then IIRC you do get to see the wing vortex effect when hitting higher angles of attack in the respective weather conditions...

Been running PrecipiFX since (almost) day one. In my mind, the addon definitely belongs on the "must have" list. At the price is sells for, a veritable deal, steal, sale of the #*@@#*! century... (those who know "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels should understand this :))

I'm getting more and more convinced I'll get this addon.

One thing though that would be nice to know and I already asked about it above but haven't seen any reply yet is if this addon will only work for the a/c you're sitting in or also for other a/c around you (AI or online traffic on VATSIM and IVAO).

WebMaximum  - go on get it and then post your review!  I am interested because that vortex rain/snow thing is really not very good.

Your review might sway me. Let me know if you get it.
