January 30, 201511 yr Ok, I'm sorry, I really feel for the vendors and the hoops they need to jump through, choices... Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...
January 30, 201511 yr Well, today I found out that the upcoming "Spotlights" add-on from FlightsimLabs is going to be "FSX-SE compliant", and I believe the long awaited A320-X will be as well. I think the level of quality of the add-ons produced by this brand, even if the universe is rather small, speaks for themselves, and supporting DTG's FSX-SE also speaks for the future... January 30, 201511 yr With the amount of time that seem,s to be spent by developers producing high quality and ever improving add on,s,I can not see it being possible for the dev,s to release new products through DTG and cover cost let alone make a living,I would imagine used on FSX se but not purchased through FSX se is where it seems to be heading, which is not what DTG require peter
January 30, 201511 yr Commercial Member Producing stuff that is FSX Se compliant isn't an issue (so far). Selling stuff through DTG's store on Steam is. Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. Please provide proof of purchase if you want support. Also, include the username you wish to have.
January 30, 201511 yr Selling stuff through DTG's store on Steam is. Then, they'd better address this, because it's going to play a very important role on their success with FSX-SE... January 30, 201511 yr You know DTG's business better than DTG? Nope, but I guess it'll be a natural course.... if not for other reasons, at least by remembering what happened to MS FLIGHT... January 30, 201511 yr Nope, but I guess it'll be a natural course.... if not for other reasons, at least by remembering what happened to MS FLIGHT... DTG doesn't remember what happened to FS FLIGHT? Gerry Howard
January 30, 201511 yr You know DTG's business better than DTG? Probably not, but it's just possible that he knows the flight sim community somewhat better than DTG Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester

January 30, 201511 yr But DTG's interests are not those of the flight sim community? You know DTG's interests ? Is there life on other Planets? Were the Gods Astronauts? Does the Universe have an end? Why does saturday always come after friday? Or is it before the next friday? Well, I'm confused.... January 30, 201511 yr Do we know if DTG are interested in the flightsim community? Based on what I have read in this thread, they certainly don't seem to be all that interested in the welfare of flightsim developers. January 30, 201511 yr You know DTG's interests ? Yes - to make money from the flight sim community (or any one) for its private investors. Gerry Howard
January 30, 201511 yr Methinks the interests of DTG is in the products they distribute. FSX is but 1 of so many. Just by looking at what they have, their core products are trains 'n games. So, their interests lie? Yes, flight swimming is new for them, apart from X-Plane. But that's another story. Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...
