Thanks Rob.

What a great way to start the day!

Inspiring for those of us who couldn't download last night.

Nice one Rob! But a very long take off roll with master caution hm?

Mark

Yes I was thinking the same.   N1 looked quite low on the gauge, and the plane didn't seem trimmed on rotation.  Probably just Rob doing a quick and dirty flight though, to show people the aircraft in the sim, rather than flying it by the book.      Thanks for the video Rob.      VC shadows looked divine in this one.

Good eye Mark, Craig. Here's what I'm seeing, which has me concerned. Now first, he's not using any flaps which might be required/desired in that aircraft for takeoff. Without them that could extend the takeoff roll noticeably. He also doesn't rotate until what looks like near normal climb speed (hard to tell though as the IAS isn't that clear in my video), so that could be another factor. But here's the rub - notice that when he realizes he's running out of runway he advances N1 to just under redline. Now, as he does that, notice the gauge to the right (is that the ITT gauge?) goes well past redline and that's when he gets the Caution Lights coming on. After seeing that, I went back to the earlier part of the takeoff roll and looked at his ITT (?) gauge and it was pretty close to redline at that point. IF (big if) I'm reading that right, you'll never be able to achieve full power (or at least METO) on this airplane. What further concerns me, IF I'm right, is Carenado had that issue with the C208 and someone had to step in and fix it for him. I hope that's not the case here, but I think I want to see a more complete/technically correct demonstration of a takeoff before I buy this one, as bad as I want it.

Note I'm NOT criticising Rob in his video. It's extremely helpful, fun to watch and well done. My comments are directed at the airplane only.

No prep at all with this flight ... just quickie for visuals and sound.  Since I didn't read the manual I had no idea of V speeds, flap settings, etc. etc. ... I'll dig into the manual this weekend and do a full prep flight from KPSP to KTVL from cold and dark.

Cheers, Rob.

That's terrific Rob. And again, let me say that I wasn't being at all critical of you. I think everyone figured this was a "first flight" run and it's really appreciated. Gave a lot of good insights.

Looking forward to your next release. Thanks again Rob!

Oh this is a good one with the manual

There is't much reading anyway, no system manual included!

Maybe Carenado don't want us to know wath's all went wrong in this plane

Vertical Autopilot modes are in this state, just unusable!

I really wastet my money on this one, for eycandy it's simply overpriced

To be fair to Carenado it's early days yet, a service pack/update in the coming weeks will/might sort out most/some problems.

Amazing video.  This solidifies the advantage of P3D over it's competition.

There are 8 useful .PDFs included, so not sure what you mean?

EFIS pdf

FMS pdf

MFD pdf

Recommended settings

S550 Emergency procedures

S550 Normal procedures

S550 Performance tables

S550 Reference

I haven't fully tested the AP ... but docs list the various modes for EFIS and AP systems?  It all appears to be there if you setup the FMS.

I'll dig more into the AC this weekend.  But not sure where your comments are coming from Bruno?

Cheers, Rob.

I really wish, but how was it with the Phenom and the PC12, the best updates made the user himself.
