You will also need to keep your sliders to the left as much as you can live with. FSX whether it is boxed or SE, is resource hungry especially when you start adding traffic, weather, and complex aircraft. However, I don't think that your system with 128MB of VRAM is going to cut it.

Try it and see how it works. Start minimal and work up to where you are happy.

Thank you.

There are two questions you need to ask.  First will it work?  Sure, but as others have noted, only with things turned to minimums and no (or very simple) add-ons and that's a pretty dreary world.

Second, will you like what you see, and enjoy the experience.  The answer to that is, unfortunately, probably not.  You've got plenty of system memory, but not nearly enough processing power (FSX is a CPU hog), video card or video memory.

Sorry,

Scott

I think you should use FS9 instead. Way easier on that system and can look pretty good with enough addons.

There is the Wilco A320 as well as the AirSimmers one. I'm gonna be honest, I had a slightly more powerful laptop (Dual core 2.0GHz, 6GB RAM, Intel HD4000), and FSX was nearly unplayable, even at lowest settings with no addons. But, I had FS9 at high settings with quite a few graphics addons and it was pretty smooth.
