FMC Wind Uplink

Recommended Posts

Hi Team

Can I ask, with the PMDG 777, is there a way to get different wind levels to upload to the FMC? The ones I get now are : F330/290/270/250 from PFPX.

Christian at PFPX says it's a question I should ask of PMDG.

Thanks

In the Introduction document Pg 0.00.168, which I found in 5 sec by searching for "descent forecast":

If you want to get data for a different set of altitudes you can delete the altitude rows that you are not interested in and enter new desired altitudes without making any wind data entry. On request, wind data for these altitudes will be retrieved.

Full names in the PMDG forum please.

Thanks, I was aware of this but it is not 100% clear in the manual if you need to change the levels in the LEGS page at just one waypoint or for the remainder?

Changing one entry changes that entry and every entry thereafter. Honestly, I just re-request wind data any time I change altitudes.

If you set it up like I set it up in Tutorial #1.5, then you'll always have the most up to date wind without having to create a new file each time with PFPX.
