is Steves DX10 Fixer coming back soon?

Recommended Posts

OK, so if I understand correctly, the patch will let those of us with Ver 2.6 of the Fixer use it with both FSX and FSX-SE on the same computer -- correct?

Thanks for this, Steve.

yes , however I have just spoken to Adrian and the update will come via your Flight Sim Store account. So just update as per the instructions in the manual.

Thanks Steve for the dual install. Received an email last night from FSS that the upgrade was ready for download.

Is there an option to update for those of us having the older version, but for some reason have not received notification from the FLightsim Store?

Thanks,

Ed

Thank you very much!

I made that way more complicated than it needed to be.

Have there been any improvements in V2.7 other than FSX SE compatibility?

*****************************************************************************************************

EDIT

To answer my own question: I just checked Steve's blog. FSX SE compatibility is the only thing addressed in v2.7. If you are not running FSX and FSXSE on the same machine, you don't need v2.7

So the DX-10 fixer moves the scenery load from the CPU to the GPU?  Seems that would help get rid of a lot of VAS issues.

I am staring to have some VAS issues on flights over water and get the fps reduction at certain add on airports.  I am guessing this would be a good tool to eliminate those types of problems?
