Not a PMDG 777 user, but in the interest of being punctual, have you tried changing the arrival and departure airports in the FMC in the RTE pages?

I don't delete them in the FMC. I go to PMDG/FLIGHTPLANS/777 folder and delete it there.

If you're talking about removing the active flight plan in the FMC to build a new route, just overwrite the origin (departure) airport.

 

If you're talking about removing the saved flight plan file, see Michael's post just above mine.

thanks guys, when I originally tried to post on this subject the web site froze for a good 10 minutes so I reposted again  not knowing that the original post had in fact, posted. problem solved now
