February 2, 201511 yr Parking codes work, but not in every case, I concede. To keep AI static at specific places, in some cases I even had to create separate ADF. But you should try anyway. If you don't know which AI misue commercial parkings, you should activated "File path" in Traffic Explorer (right click), search the responsable AI and note its next departure time. Open the corresponding FlightPlans.txt file and search for the planes leaving the airport at the scheduled time. The AC# number will help to find the AI in the aircraft.txt file of this traffic. Finally search for the exact model in your aircraft folder and add a parking code. That's what Joe suggests above. A solution for your Initial GA problem could be by setting "Ramp GA small" as parking type with a radius of 32 ft. Bernard Visit: Retroavia Forum - FS9 in the pasts
February 3, 201511 yr Author Thanks - I also have Traffic Toolbox installed, but haven't used it for a long time. I'll have a look, following through what you say. It looks like I am not having any problems at the airports now, having created 40 extra parking spots inside a hangar, but as was said above, this is not a real solution as it won't work to destination airports. It's only because that my issue was with military a/c and not GA that what I did seems to be OK. I'll try flying there again tomorrow and check... I have tried setting parking codes in the aircraft.cfg file in the past but never with any success. Given what you say, I will have another look at this however (and your other advice). Whatever, I am sure to come back to this thread as you have all posted really useful information. Thanks again. M Martin Stebbing, EGLF (UK)
February 3, 201511 yr Note that parking codes are case sensitive. They are normally all upper case, by convention. Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
February 3, 201511 yr Mixed results... adding extra GA parking at one airport helped, but at another I have military fighters parked alongside commercial aircraft - some are at jetways! I added extra parking for the fighters, which fill up with more, but still the same a/c are alongside the commercial airliners. I tried changing the parking designation to 'gate' (from GA Parking) but in vain. I just can't shift them!! You clearly have military flight plans massively over the abilities of the airport AFD file. One possibility is that you have some military flight plans installed multiple times. Another is that they were made by an idiot. I would look to rationalising them. John My co-pilot's name is Sid and he's a star! http://www.adventure-unlimited.org
February 4, 201511 yr Author Probably John! I have quite a lot of military AI traffic files installed. If I get further problems at these airports, I'll look again, but as I say, since the a/c don't seem to go far very often, I think things are OK for now. Martin Stebbing, EGLF (UK)
