New Airport PAWD - Seward (Alaska) ...

I don't own Xplane - but this makes me wish I did! I've traveled to Seward twice IRL - The screen shots are amazing! Looks like a great rendition of a BEAUTIFUL place to visit!

Having a blast flying around the area...and a great scenery pack.  Thanks for posting.

BTW...here is a direct link to PAWD, is one file...and it's a very fast download...including the RD Library you need:

Again, this is a better download site...and right from the 'horses mouth':

Hi! I had this problem previously on other scenery though. Its due to missing files in your library and its a known issue, please try to download the "Backup Scenery Library" from this following link  http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=25033

and then drop the content downloaded file (opensceneryx+library.txt) in the main scenery folder "USA_AK_PAWD".  Otherwise please make sure you downloaded all the libraries required for this scenery.Hope this solves your issue!

For more detailed pics at low altitude of the amazing scenery please check this post     http://forum.avsim.net/topic/461266-pawd-alaska-xpx-1032-let-the-images-describe/

Tony,
"The sound like objects from the FFLibrary, do you have that installed?"

That was the problem.
And, I had not seen FF mentioned in my error log ... so thought the problem was elsewhere.

Initially I was going to download the "FF Library - extended LOD version " from the scenery developers site link but it mentioned :

In comparison to the "regular" version it will make you see objects from a greater distance, which will have to be paid for in frame rate." and a hit to Frames Per Second .. so I figured I already had the default version.

Now I know there is a "regular" version and thank you for giving me the link.
The regular version works.

Toufic Nachef ,
Thanks for the information.
I downloaded in case it is later needed.

I just downloaded this from the link at the PAWD creator's web site....  but I still get the missing facades error found above...  I basically extracted all the files in the FF scenery to my custom scenery folder.  Should they be somewhere else?\

I downloaded that backup scenery library which seems like a bandaid fix and actually doesn't add the library objects for now...

I know what you are doing wrong...you need to unwrap it with a true RAR program like WinRAR.

That is what is wrong...with some people unzipping it.   It does not pull all the files out...   If you use WinRAR...it does it with no sweat...and your installation will be great.

Ryan, have you checked that the it unzipped correctly, i.e. That there isn't another FF folder inside the FF scenery folder? If I remove the FFLibrary I get the same error, add it back and it's fine.

anyone know how to port this to fsx?

I checked my Unzip .. and that is true you  are correct .. there were two FF folders in my Unzip also ... ( I use 7Zip BTW) so it is the second "FF folder" that Ryan needs to copy over ... if his Unxip has two same folder names.

Amazing scenery in deed! Yes there is, actually when i first downloaded the scenery, the X plane website directed me to here, though now the download was moved to X plane website:

Thanks a lot for that info! Since I am banned from the org store and forums, I miss quite many major freeware and payware releases! I am glad to be able to get this work of art into my sim!

Thanks again! ;-)
