Can't get 777-200 base pack to activate in FSX SE

Featured Replies

I recently re-downloaded the 777-200 base back from the PMDG site to take advantage of the new FSX SE installer. My issue starts after the product is installed. I'm not able to input my activation code during any point of the installation or on first start up of the sim when the various dlls are seeking permissions. When I try and fly the 777 in FSX the gauges are black as if the product isn't activated.

I've tried to reinstall/repair the installation many times followed by downloading the installer again and checking for updates in the operations center, all with no success.

Any help with this issue would be much appreciated

Apologies this a duplicated post please remove. When I posted the first time I was given a 503 error and assumed the post had failed.

Black screens is  usually an indication of Licence Issues.

Fire it up again, but whilst still in FSX-SE, take a look at Task Manager and see if you see FNP.......in your Processes. If you don't, then you need to submit a ticket to PMDG Support as it could well be a licensing issue.

I can't seem to see any process called FNP. I will fire off a ticket to PMDG thanks for the help.

FNP=FlexNet P Licensing Service. Very crucial to have any PMDG product working correctly.

If you only have FSX:SE installed you may be missing several versions of SimConnect.  This is known to cause this issue.  In the FSX:SE SDK there is a facility for installing them.
