May 30, 200521 yr I like realair. I own all their stuff...and I would continue to buy their aircrafts. They are onto something in regards to VC.But I was disappointed after I got the upgrade for the SIA Marchetti... I didn't think it added that much. Maybe I expected a lot more from realair after reading all the WOW factor here.. I found the avionics/radio to be more polished. But since realair is a good company bring all these great aircrafts.. I can overlook this little disappointment. Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
May 30, 200521 yr Hmm, not sure what to tell you. Sorry you're dissappointed. Over the past few days since I got the upgrade I've had a few of the best, most involving flights I've ever had...I'm not sure what you expected but I sure got what I expected.
May 30, 200521 yr Commercial Member You have to be kidding me - go fly the original version and look at how jerky the ADI, VSI, and HSI are in the VC - it's completely smooth in the new one! Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
May 30, 200521 yr I'm not sure what you where expecting. My gauges are much crisper and easier to read than before the update. The gauges are very fluid with almost no stutter. There is no need for pop-ups for fuel, parking brake or anything else as they are all right there in the VC. The new gauge lighting for nighttime is just incredible. The compass actually bounces around vertically as well as horizontally. Watch it as you fly through turbulence, it is amazing. As you said, the radio stack is nicely updated. The LCD's have a sort of glow to them. Then of course there is the addition of RealView, independent vapor trails from the wings, better feedback approaching a stall, 3 new liveries, more realistic engine torque (I can actually hold it strait on the runway during takeoff now) :) That's all I can think of off hand. All the other updates aside, what I see in the VC is DRAMATICALLY improved, solely from a crispness and fluidity standpoint. I think those two points alone are worth the update. Everything else is just gravy.Other than that, I guess not much changed. ;)Tony
May 30, 200521 yr The pre/post stall buffeting makes it worth the price alone...this is something one can finally train all the maneuvers in.A new high in flight models.http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!

I needed a bit more right rudder pressure to keep it straight on the centerline................but it felt right. I kind of compare it to riding the edge of a sloping gutter, or edge of a wake while water skiing. Just enough pressure to keep it there. Twist grips don't count, as their somewhat squirrly anyway! :D Everything else "new" is what I expected though.L.Adamson
May 30, 200521 yr >You got me there, as I use a twist grip. :)>TonyIt's true! :D With my twist grip, it's often all over the place on takeoffs, or lower the sensitivity settings, which "screws" the rudder pedals. So we're really compromising for different hardware I suppose. Make a bunch happy, and some a little sad! :( L.Adamson
May 30, 200521 yr The ony change I made in the new version was to reduce the rudder sensitivity slightly for a smoother takeoff roll with my rudder pedals. I think the new version is excellent and much better than the orginal.
