Drzewiecki Design New York City X 30% off?

Featured Replies

I just checked Simplanet who have excellent prices on  Drzewiecki Design software sale, looking for New York City X, but could not find it listed there. They Have Miami City X for $14 and lots of airports at 30% off, including the New York City X Airports for $20, which I picked up, but no New York City X itself. Very Strange... I would love to pick it up for $14, just to compare it to Aerosoft's Manhattan X. Anyone know who has it at that price?

NYC not worth it. It's a resource hog, and until they fix the issues with the OOM, I'm not going to reinstall it. I find it ridiculous to think that you would need to lower your setting in order to make this addon work, when all other addons work just fine, and are more complex than Drzewiecki Design.

I agree with specialist - I have a very good system and NY city x struggles on my machine - I have no issues with running other complex add-ons. They do provide low resolution version of the software and im not happy with it.

I so looked forward to their release a while ago because I'm in the area but am very disappointed with it.

Ok, thanks guys. Guess I'll just stick with Manhattan X.

As an owner of Drzewiecki Design New York City X I don't even have one flight completed into or out of the NYC area....I can't fly with it active in my scenery library....I am on a pretty powerful system and FPS turns into SPF if you know what I mean.....Of course this is with global/vector and FSDT JFK and a good plane addon.

All I have used it for are photo-ops lol....I am not taking anything away from the dev....I am sure a lot of man power went into it but the above is all MHO

I just got this yesterday...I have NYCX installed with NYC Airports. I can fly this scenery with 2 airplanes without oom...the default ultralight (moved over to p3d) or ant's drifter... still VAS left available hangs in the 430k-550k range.... amazing scenery though...but seemingly limited in utility in a 32 bit sim. IMHO. My first flight, I loaded up Carenado's DA42 at KJFK, and the sim crashed with OOM before I even saw the tarmac....My very -first- oom in P3D mind you...

Cheers,

Jonathan

I'm sorry to say that 95% off wouldn't be enough for this product.  Not because it's not visually superb (which it is) but because it puts a huge demand on PC resources (both FPS and VAS).  I find it all but unusable, even when FSX settings are greatly reduced.

In fact, as someone who loves many Drziwiecki products (all Polish Airports, Sheremetyevo, EETN, etc, etc), I personally think he should withdraw New York from sale, until it can be optimized or re-constructed to work at an acceptable performance level.
