As far as I know there is no deactivation - you just have so many installs then has to be reset always has been that way

Just deactivate if in doubt. It only takes a min in the FMC .

you have always been able to deactivate the 777 in fsx and works the same way in p3d, just open the fmc and pmdg setup and deactivate.

Oh great did not know that - install it now and see what happens

Well I uninstalled it did a new P3D 2.5 install - installed PMDG 777 and it just worked know activation nedded how cool is that
