Hi Andrew,

tried to change the controller type of my Saitek Yoke from other to yoke.

Since this I get a access violation at address 00406A74 in module Linda.exe. Write of address 00000100

when clicking save.

LINDA 2.6.0 9

As I can see at this time, I get the access violation even when I open Setup Joystick.

Same when clicking Joysticks.

Is there anything I can try or test.

Renaming my backup config-hid.lua brings back my joysticks and LINDA works as expected.

Sound when changing shift modes disapeared.

Sound for mode change MCP works.

Access violation comes back, when calling Joysticks page.

With kind regards

Hi Roland

Thank you for the report.

This is an area I have had to do some changes to save the device names and types.  The file is becoming corrupted and once corrupted you will get a continuous error.  The earlier beta could be responsible.

Restore your backup and try the new BACKUP button before you change anything.  Is it only when you change the device Type?  Can you please PM me copies of your backup and post access violation config-hid.lua files in the \linda-cfg\aircrafts\ and \linda-cfg\system\ (4 files in total)?

Also can you go to \linda-cfg\system\ and delete config-lua.lua.  Then start LINDA. This will automatically create a new \system\config-hid.lua file with the default device names and types.

That is strange that the sounds are working with the MCP but not the SHIFT. The same .wav files are used for both.

I think you mean config-hid.lua.

This worked.

I deleted this file and now It works.

How can I PM you a file?

Or should I copy the contend?

Hi Roland

You are correct and thank you for confirming the fix.  Try not to break it again ;) (bitte es nicht wieder kaput machen!)

LOL I'll keep an eye on :-))

Sound works also again, don't no why it doesn't befor.

Ahh, scrollbar on Settings page does not work.

I love this Beta, but I have a problem to remember all the functions I assigned on 2 shifted level :-)

Is it possible to ignore a controller? My CH Rudder Pedal is listed with one button, but still it has none.

;))

Is that the vertical scroll bar on Joystick settings page?

How about a text list of all settings?  Similar to aircraft module functions text file.

Please post a screenshot of Joystick settings showing CH pedals and button. I have the same pedals and have not seen this.

Does you old pedal have any buttons?  Can you give me a screenshot of the Setup Joysticks? I need the VID/PID code to handle this as a special case.

Ahh, no, just 3 axes, but I didn't open it to look inside if there is a hidden one (for whatever reason)

I'm not sure if I understand it well.

Did you mean this one?

Hi Andrew,

congrats, it works like a charme.

May I have a request?

Is it possible to get a "List funktion" for the joystick assignments too?

But stop, "List Functions" lists the functions witch are available for the chosen aircraft, doesn't it?

I think of a list of the assigned buttons.

Hi Roland

I am glad that we fixed the problems you reported.

Yes, the List Functions generates a text file of the Module functions for the current aircraft. I was thinking of a text file of all the HID and MCP assignments for the selected aircraft. This can be printed and used on the desktop when flying.

Andrew

Following FSC190's suggestion I have been working on outputting a text file of the assignments for the HID/Joystick devices for the currently selected aircraft.  This is an example of the output of the setup I use for flying the Aerosoft Airbus. You will note that I have many settings defined in FSX Default (marked by asterisks *).  Comments and suggestions welcome.

I will now have a look at the MCP assignment report.
