FSX-MS Just found a great freeware weather engine!

This software is great and has no FPS impact at all and makes great looking weather. I replaced the REX 4 cirrus clouds with the HDRV2 and it looks great way better than the rex textures. I recommend giving this and the HDRV2 cirrus clouds a try.

Interesting, did you have any other commercial weather program like ASN?  How does this compare?

I've tried the demo of ASN and have used REX but both kill my FPS this one doesn't! The weather looks very convincing to me and you cant beat the price!

Just downloaded it and tried it on 2.5 and it worked fine. Not sure how accurate it is though as ASN not working on 2.5 yet.

Well fired up FSX and ASN and found a place with heavy snow and then did FSX-SE and FSXWX and there was no snow. So not sure which was wrong.

what did the metar for airport say? But regardless this program is free and has no FPS impact So it's a win for me
