XPX 10.35b1: some pure awesomeness!

Hi there!

Not many words today, just a few shots of 10.35b1 with SMP, EFASS providing the WX and Peter Hager´s outstanding A320 (neo).

I have the frame rate externally locked with NI, that way, I get a better and smoother performance while streaming. 80% of the time, the fps are very stable at these 30 fps. When approaching bigger cities, like Berlin (in these shots), Manchester, etc. the fps drop to 21-26. But the whole sim still feels very fluid and the Airbus is still perfectly flyable!

That's already an older video with default clouds, 10.35b1 with SMP definitely performs better on my machine, but nevertheless you can see how nice XPX performs in this very dense scenery (while streaming in HD with 30 frames):

For those who wonder about FPS, you will get more then you might think and a lot better scenery, 64 bit is light years ahead of 32bit. I have a modest machine and do very well w/out the HD res. I hope to upgrade soon so as to be able to really max out XP. MSFS does not even compare. Sorry, but that is a fact. Great shots, I will wait till beta is gone alpha before upgrading XP10 from current version. It does look great. :rolleyes:

The power of 64 bit has to be seen live! screenshots don't do it justice. The sensation of flight that XPX gives me, can't be compared to any other (civilian) flight sim!

Its smoothness and the breathtaking visuals are a class on their own!

This is thing is still very much flyable even with 15 fps that's what I get in most of the places.

 

The best part no crashes and the other amazing part most of the best scenery is freeware / donationware.

 

And as OP puts it ScreenShots don't do justice to this Simulator.

Great shots! 64-bit doesn't help with the frame-rate or smoothness. However it allows you to use very dense complex scenery like above, without getting OOM's. The smoothness comes from the X-Plane rendering engine, which is far more stable and less finicky than P3D or FSX.

 

Also, if X-Plane runs at less than about 20 FPS, the actual simulation will slow down (time gets stretched). So that's the minimum you need in X-Plane. Fortunately that's not very difficult to achieve, even with highly complex scenery.

You are correct . But when the visuals are so good even 10 fps is great for me because I am enjoying the stuff.

 

Achieving a good stable fps depends on your rendering settings and of course the main thing your system.
