Downloading update

Recommended Posts

Quick question. Operations centre tells me there is an update available for both base model and -300 model. It says to log into my PMDG account, look under previous orders and from there, download the installer.

Unfortunately, it's not obvious to me on that page where the download is. Does it mean just click on the original download link?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I am also downloading the update from my account. However when I run the installer it gives me the following options:

  • Repair
  • Remove

What should I do?

Do I need to uninstall the 777 before running the updated version.

Thanks just want to be sure..

Best,

Frits.

Don't need to, but it's probably the most "complete" solution to ensure some bits of the old code don't get left behind to interfere with things (we do this internally for each update, honestly).

Uninstall via the Control Panel

Delete any references to the 777 in the FSX > SimObjects folder.

Delete any references to the 777 in the FSX > PMDG folder.

Delete any references to the 777 in the FSX APP DATA > SimObjects folder.

Install new version(s).
