I have just bought Zinertek HD Airport Graphics V3.  And I know about the issue of needed to determine which default textures you prefer for runway when you have REX like I do.

 

However, I just realized that I also have Dirk Stuck Design airport vehicles (GXT) in some airports and it now occurs to me that these will all be replaced with the new Zinertek versions if I go with Zinertek install.

 

Does anyone else out there have or use Dirk Stuck Design airport vehicles and can you advise me on how to manage this issue.

 

It occurs to me that if I install Zinertek, then if I decide I prefer my REX runway texture theme I reinstall that theme and will get REX runways, then possibly if I reinstall GXT then I should be my Dirk Design airport vehicles.  That would mean that I would be left with Zinertek airport buildings etc.

 

Any thoughts?

I have all of the DSD vehicle sets, and just a few days ago when I installed the Zinertek HD package I wasn't aware that it included airport vehicles.

 

So far I've not noticed any differences.  I'm mostly aware of the pushback tugs that I know to be DSD, but just yesterday I saw an "airport police" car which I believe is a DSD vehicle.

 

I so do like the DSD de-icing trucks which come up and start spraying for no good reason.  ("Thankyouverymuch....")

OK I've heard about the de-icing trucks spraying for no good reason.

 

Today I installed the Zinertek over my REX theme and GXT (Dirk Design).  I have FTX Global I randomly when to an airport - Sioux Fall and took before and after screenies, can't say that I see too much difference in quality of airport buildings, they are just different.

 

Anyway, I'm going to post the before and after shoots in another thread.  I also think I will switch back to REX theme but I want to do some more flying to see other strips.
