March 1, 201511 yr Hello everybody, I've got a problem with the MD-11 when I try to enter a flight plan manually. Whenever I try to enter the arrival and destination airport in the INIT page (for example EGLL/LSZH) , fsx freezes and then crashes to desktop. It doesn't matter what kind of airport I try to put in it always freezes. I also tried different panel states, but nothing works. I also tried to reinstall the MD-11 but that did not fix the problem either. Interestingly loading the company route from the tutorial works, but when I the try to provide an alternate airport the sim crashes again. The PMDG JS4100 that I have seems to have the same problem when manually entering a flightplan into the FMS. Although I haven't look further into that problem. I'm using FSX with Acc. pack installed. The version of the MD-11 is 1.2.00055. Thanks in advance Matthias Hiebing

March 13, 201511 yr Known issue for long time with the MD11X. You have to be in CRZ Mode before you input a new destination or alternate airport to avoid Freeze/CTD. Happens if dest or alt is inserted in the FMC before your reach the cruise altitude. Regards, Chris -- PC: Intel 13900K, Gigabyte Geforce RTX 4090, 64GB Fury Beast DDR5 RAM; Display: Varjo Aero VR

March 19, 201511 yr Author Hello everybody, I might have found a potential fix for this (my ) problem. If I create a new "Flight Simulator X files" directory in my documents directory which is empty, then the problem I decribed vanishes. I have to do more testing, do more flights and so on, but what seems to be the problem is when you type in, for example, EGGL as your departure airport and the FMS software finds a lot of flights with this dep. in your "Flight Simulator X files" directory ( or maybe to many flights at all) it crashes. This might have to do with the FMS feature of loading flights directly from the FMS, may be it can only handle a certain amount of flights in your "Flight Simulator X files" directory or only certain amounts of flights with the given departure. But thats pure speculation, again I have to do more testing. But for the time being the problem seems to be fixed. regards Matthias Hiebing
