Which AI addons?

Recommended Posts

Hey,

like it´s says in the title I´m looking for good FSX AI traffic. It should be payware. I hope you can give me some recommendation. It can be good looking models because my PC should handle it.

I know you want payware, and that's perfectly fine, but I would seriously take a look at WoAI before you spend the money. The models are excellent and the packages are easy to install.  If you don't like it, then try one of the others.  Just my 2 cents.

Cheers,

Todd

I used WOAI for years and switched to UT2. Nicer looking planes IMHO and 100% FSX DX 10 Compatible. Landing Lights can be a bit large, back up your halo.bmp and check out some third party halo.bmp's. You will also want to convert all your UT2 aircraft to Shockwave's Navi, Beacon, and Strobes. there is a batch file Bleedair.de that edits the lines in your aircraft.cfg for each model to add these lights, you'll just need to purchase from A2A Simulations the 3D Lights Redux. I am in the process of adding Shockwave Landing lights to all the UT2 AI aircraft.

Thanks for the answer. I will have a look in both.

The bulk of UT2's models are the same as what is found in WoAI.. AIA, DJC and TFS which have then been recompiled for FSX. There's no visual differences between the common models used in UT2 and WoAI.

check out some third party halo.bmp's.

Could you suggest some? I managed to mess mine up without backing it up because I had no idea such a thing even existed.

AVSIM library has some I believe. If you have REX it should have backed up your original halo.bmp. There are other programs that back it up also, just don't know which off hand, not at home.

Thinking about getting UT2 but have a couple of questions:

1. Does UT2 work with the Steam version of FSX?

2. What is the latest schedule provided?

I've tried to look for answers on their support forum but I can't get into the FAQ section :(

I finally got to adding Landing Lights to the CRJ 700's and OMG, definitely not worth wasting anytime over. These models are awful. Now I have to figure out how to replace them entirely.

The RJ's in UT2 are hideous, but easily and quickly replaced by the AI Malcontent CRJ-200 - aimcr2_basemodel.zip  and the Alpha India Group  CRJ 700 and 900 - aig_crj700_basemodel.zip and aig_crj900_basemodel.zip ..    Repaints galore here at avsim and also the finer AI repaint houses..    http://www.juergenbaumbusch.de/  http://www.flyingcarpet75.com/  http://jcai.dk/ http://www.kaese2002.de/

Yes, they work fine in FSX.

Thanks you saved me and UT2 again. Are there anymore like this from "MyTraffic" or anyone else?
