Thanks for the US Navy P-8a Poseidon. :)

Gents-

This model was actually built in late 2012 as part of something we did for Boeing- and it has been collecting dust in the hangar since then.  We figured you guys might like it as something a bit out of the ordinary.

On the actual P-8A and P-8I aircraft, there are some minor cockpit and system differences that most of you would notice through your familiarity with the NG flight deck.  We have not modeled these differences, nor have we created a performance model for the P-8 because doing so would require the use of data which is not in the public domain.

We chose to use the 800WL flight model as that gets you into the ballpark pretty closely.

I notice a red warning label on the fuselage about entering the bomb bay. Can I ask - are bomb bay doors simulated on the PMDG product?

Dan, we currently have the Wedgetail - I so desperately wish PMDG would do a Wedgetail!!!

Pretty sure it's just visual only. Not sure the Navy would appreciate us handing out perf data on it. I could be wrong.

So why cannot be a scimitar winglet update just like this P-8a only visual?

Gorgeous aircraft, big surprise, march began full of good surprises.
Perhaps there is something more with dust in the hangar?
Thank U.

Is there a separate paint kit for the Poseidon?

Many may fly and some are rewarded

handsomely, but the wings of gold of a

United States Naval Aviator mean more

than flying. It is dearly bought, requires

sacrifice to keep and represents a way of life.

Australia will get our first of 8 aircraft in 2-3 years time. Maybe someone can do the RAAF repaint?? :)

Long shot but the Boeing E-7A Wedgetail would be cool :)

I would love to see those Poseidon wingtips on a 800 passenger aircraft.

I quite like it!

It's one of those functionality over beauty moments. Where else do you put a radar that big :P
