Can we obtain it without installing Service Pack 1d?

The P8 is a separate model included in SP1D. Why do you not want to update?

I have downloaded the update and plan to install it soonly. I had it mixed up with the T7 SP1d which I don't

think I need >> I only use FSX at this time (and do not plan to be a "Steamer").

Correct, 777 SP1D is only required by people who use steam version.

 

NGX SP1D is quite a large update with a lot of bug fixes and also includes weather radar, terrain sweep and Steam compatibility.
