March 7, 201511 yr As my NGX is a new install after fully uninstalling SP1C it has never had the VC model altered by the toolbox. Just the DX10 settings you see above and the line added to FSX.cfg Ok, this is my exact same situation. For uploading video you can use youtube if you have an account or even dropbox if you use it. March 7, 201511 yr I seem to have the same problem, shadows move with my eyepoint, I'm using TrackIR 5 along with EZdok Are you certain you have got Trueview turned off in the TrackIr software ?
March 7, 201511 yr My trueview is ON, not OFF I know that Ezdok require it OFF, but in the past I forget it ON and seems that it doesn't change anything. Now I'll try to switch it ON/OFF and see what happen and report back. March 7, 201511 yr Here you go, be aware I have no idea about making videos in FSX or youtube In an effort to show the shadows moving with the aircraft I am basically just turning the HDG rotary on my Goflight MCP back and forth to show the shadow movement https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CDAQJBFZzU&feature=youtu.be
March 7, 201511 yr Perfect, you shadows display correctly. Mine not. When you were watching left and right shadows were fixed, you were moving your head and shadows were blocked. Tomorrow I'll make a video with fraps and will show mine, so you can compare. Thanks so much for now Glynn. March 7, 201511 yr Commercial Member Do you both have the same versions of Trackir and ezdok. Also Riccardo what happens if you fly without trackir? My FSX Analysis Blog
March 7, 201511 yr Ezdok 1.1.7.0 TrackIR 5 running on TrackIR 4.2 build 39 software with TrueView turned off (very important with Ezdok)
March 7, 201511 yr Mmmmm.....Steve know that you ask me this I remember that I'm using Ezdok 1.18.5 beta and TrackIR is 5.2.200 build 14548 1) With Trueview OFF nothing change. 2) With TrackIR OFF seems shadows work properly, but I can't change my eyepoint so issue "does not" appear. I made a video, tomorrow I'll post the pubblic link with my dropbox, it's 896MB so it take a while to sync. Also if you use EzDOK check that box as well. Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
March 7, 201511 yr Well that sucks so if we use TrackIR then shadows won't work properly in the VC Ron Hamilton "95% is half the truth, but most of it is lies, but if you read half of what is written, you'll be okay." __ Honey Boo Boo's Mom
March 7, 201511 yr Tom, shadows appear but they move with your head movement using trackIR. Riccardo OS: Windows 10-64 bit, CPU: i7-7700K @4.20 GHz, GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 8GB GDDR5, RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 32GB 3000MHz, MB: MSI Z270
March 7, 201511 yr Well that sucks so if we use TrackIR then shadows won't work properly in the VC Who said that ?, See my (admittedly poor) video for proof , the shadows work perfectly with TrackIR and Ezdok exactly the same as they do with many other aircraft and now with the NGX since Sp1d. https://www.youtube....eature=youtu.be
March 7, 201511 yr Who said that ?, See my (admittedly poor) video above for proof , the shadows work perfectly with TrackIR and Ezdok as they do with many other aircraft and now with the NGX since Sp1d. Correct, your configuration is optimal and shadows are fine. March 7, 201511 yr OK I use Gen 4 in the Debug now they work, except I get a pretty good FPS hit...why is that? Ron Hamilton "95% is half the truth, but most of it is lies, but if you read half of what is written, you'll be okay." __ Honey Boo Boo's Mom
March 8, 201511 yr Yes, I set Gen 4 shadows too in Debug and now work fine. What's the difference between Gen 4, 5 and 6? Anyway have the shadows work anyway with Gen 6?
