The Shadows in The FSX SE NGX version are simply amazing!

And the whole aircraft feels....different, better, smoother. Thank you guys you have just made a great aircraft fantastic...15 out of 10 ^_^

Ok that's what I thought, thanks Chris...just wanted to be sure since the way he titled the thread made it sound as if the SE version was improved or different than the non SE version. I understand that it's really the same.

Sorry I should have been clearer, I'm using FSX SE in DX10 mode with Steve Parsons DX10 Fixer. There are loads of tutorials here on Avsim and on the net, which show you the steps (it really is easy).  I'm  making a vid and taking pics as I write. Will post link soon.  :wink:

Why should the shadows in FSX SE be different from those in FSX MS? Isn't it a kind of placebo effect?... Further, how many fps do the shadows eat?

They are almost the same, however SE has a few improvements which has caused some small performance improvements for some users and also improved VAS management to prevent OOMs.
