Loading in P3D, v2.5 Professional. Problem......

Recommended Posts

My new 737NGX for P3D seems to have installed properly.  However, when I choose one of the 737 aircraft in the "vehicle" menu and click okay, a second abbreviated screen opens in the top left corner of the monitor and the P3D screen shows black and freezes.  Sometime I can get it to start (showing two P3D icons on the bottom tray) and most times not.  When I do get it to start, the display is all messed up.  Thoughts?

Did it ever prompt you for your license key? If not, this issue is probably caused by an incorrect SimConnect runtime installation on your computer, follow these instructions to fix it:

Navigate to this folder:
<P3D root folder>\redist\FSX-RTM\lib

Run the SimConnect.msi installer file inside the folder.

Repeat the process in the FSX-SP1\lib and FSX-SP2-XPACK\lib folders.

Kyle,

Yes, it asked for a key the first time I ran it.  Then, the 1st thing I did after getting the issue was to run the three SimConnect installations as shown in the installation instructions.  Those did not correct the problem.  Thinking it might be an install glitch I then uninstalled both the add-on 600/700 package as well as the base package.

I then only reinstalled the base pack.  Still the same problem.  After doing a search of the support forum I have initiated a support ticket.  This is the first problem I've had with P3D 2.5 (Professional) and my PMDG 777 runs fine.

Very interesting???
