auto lod 1.3

Interesting idea.  I guess it dynamically reduces graphics settings when scenery pushes fps below your minimum set value?  But changing graphics settings should cause a stumble or hesitation, I would expect.  I don't need it on my system, but it's an interesting attempt to solve framerate problems.

I did not observe any stuttering, and could see it at work by removing details then objects (static planes, houses, ...)  while the framerate dropped (this is easy to force by changing the default clouds to overcast).

But is it any good during flight ? My experiments were to short to give a good answer.

Yes, I read the manual.  I guess the main advantage would be to change settings for testing.  You can always open the Rendering window and change things during flight as well.  I guess I don't see the main idea.

Finally I think it is worth it, I put everything on max and let the plugin remove distant (and in extreme cases not so distant) objects to keep the sim responsive.

As you can decide to toggle it with landing lights, I did not see anymore slow downs during approach (when responsiveness is most important.)

Good job!

It is definitely a keeper for me as it is so wonderful to have something auto managing things to keep the frame rate where I like (30fps min)

I have always wished that you could prioritize which types of scenery you care more about when it comes to the frame rate.

I would love to be able to keep objects and detail at extreme for airports and the surrounding 5 miles and sacrifice other areas, etc

I like this plugin.

But I notice that it has done something to the HDR / ALS

@humpty:

Can you elaborate?

I haven't noticed anything negative regarding HDR with the plugin - Maybe I'm missing something?

I feel that ALS or the fog layer is OFF.

BTW there is an other script at the .org and i am using that.

Search in google "datarefs x plane AMD GPU "

Basically Multilayer fog chews up fps. But if this is off then you shall see flat foggy thing.

With Autolod the multilayer is ON but I have noticed the HDR looks silly. (CAN ANYONE CHECK ? )

Now I know that its only my GPU which is limiting the performance.

All my settings are maxed out. using V3 + FlywithLua and even at CYYZ (ISDG ) which very heavy on the CPU i am getting above 20's.

Neat program, just perfect!!!

Got it set at Min 28, Max 38 and works great in my world, love the fact that you can change HDR on the fly.
