I agree, one of the most beautiful in my opinion, especially how they designed the #2 engine into the fuse.

It was also one of my favorites to fly on....very comfortable!  Flew on Eastern and Delta Tri-Stars.

OMG Chris....I flew on an American Trans Air L1011 on a trip back from Naples when I was in the Navy...Air Mobility Command...Maybe we've been on the same flights and never knew it.    The old livery...one of my favorites.  Ever fly on a World Airways DC-10?
