March 16, 201511 yr Even with everything turned off and the latest P3D tweak,FT/CYYZ still runs like a dog. Unless FlyTampa figures out how to release more frames, I'll just write it off as a bad investment and use the default or some other scenery.
March 17, 201511 yr I'd like to post my experience in case it will help. I started out with lousy performance as well. There are a number of tools available from FlyTampa to improve performance. I won't bore you guys with the details. Everything is explained and available in the FlyTampa FlyToronto forum. Currently, I am at gate 174, in the PMDG 777-200 with 23 frames per second and 1.070 GB of VAS remaining. I don't know if this will be of value to anyone or not. Perhaps by comparison, someone might find an opportunity to improve performance. I can say that with the sliders as far left at CYYZ as they are, it is still the highest quality airport I own. That is with other airport's sliders much, much further to the right. I have CYVR, KLAS, KJFK, KIAH, KDFW from FSDreamTeam. KDEN, KPHX, KIAD from Flightbeam. This is not to knock these fine vendors. They make great stuff. Rather it is a compliment to what is IMHO, the highest quality airport ever built. I'm not so much a fan of FlyTampa, as I am a fan of Toronto. I was born an hour down the Queen Elizabeth Way in St. Catharines, Ontario. PS: I turned of FlyTampa CYYZ and used the default airport. There was very little difference in performance. It is a bear of an area. Hats off to FlyTampa for taking on what appears, at this moment, to be a monster. Cheers Regards, Graham Derreck CYMM
March 17, 201511 yr I shot some circuits there in the 737NGX and then the 777 in P3D v2.4 with the base install of CYYZ from FlyTampa with no issues. I am using FT CYYZ, ASN, FTX Global and Vector and REX Textures 4.0 No AI Traffic Dave Robertson BE20, BE35, BE02, C560, CRJ, MD80, E190, B777
