Eager newbie need help from old farts about addons...

Recommended Posts

Hello guysn'gals!

- I'm a newbie. But it didn't take long before I had several add-ons. And today I'm making a fresh install of the entire system. A tedious job. Whilst sitting here, I started to think that if you have more than addon that targets the same area, in this case the environment surrounded by the world, is it something special one should keep in mind when installing?

As an exampel, this is what I have :

UltimateTerrainX Europe

ORBX FTX GlobalBase

ORBX FTX GlobalVECTOR

ORBX FTX OpenLC Europe

REX TextureDirect

REX SoftClouds

REX EssentialPlus

Is it just rocknroll? Or should I do this to prevent that from happen? Or should I implement this before that, otherwise those won't be selectable? Or is it just plain rockenroll, it doesnt matter?

I hope you understand what I mean and what my question is. Swenglish can somtimes look a little...odd.

Best regards

ratata

Your thread title is not a good way to get help.

Could've been worse (smelly farts?) and I doubt if many older experienced visitors will be that offended.

As for the question Ratata, you'll need to be careful about what options are being used in UTX, Vector and LC as UTX will do a lot of what the other two do as well.  Best place to look would be the UTX and ORBX forums.

Cheers

Be sure to go through the registration process at ORBX. They are very helpful, but they have hoops to jump through. I agree, Paul. It takes me a few hours to get the arthritic joints  to quit aching. LOL!

ORBX FTX GlobalBase

ORBX FTX GlobalVECTOR

ORBX FTX OpenLC Europe

REX TextureDirect

REX SoftClouds

This is all you really need, plus Active Sky Next for weather.

Also high on the must have list for me:

Ezdok camera

Accufeel

FSUIPC

So that is the base sim sorted. Then you need some aircraft and some airports. This is when the fun really starts :)

Actually... it's the title that got me to open this thread, ha!  Seemed like a nice fun way to ask for help with an eager new simmer.  And I think farts are funny.  Fart...fart...fart!  :P

Agree with the above except:

In lieu of Ezdok, Accufeel and ASN, you can use buy Opus FSI, which contains all three in one package.
