Navaid selection on MFD?

Recommended Posts

Can you adjust the navaids displayed to not show fixes? The fixes show up with a 20 mile range and make the map unreadable. Thanks.

Bob,

Under the Carenado Navigraph folder, Default FSX is the icons that the MFD seems to use. I was tempted to delete (after backing up) the cyan and white icons in the NDB, VOR, VORDME, and Airway folders.

Hi Ken,

Thank you for the reply. The default FSX GPS allowed adjusting the detail to remove fixes  when zooming out. There must be a way to de-clutter the display as the MAP is useless above a range of 10 miles. I have a couple flights in the aircraft so far and starting to regret the purchase. I can see why Flight1 doesn't sell it as Carenado would be getting a lot of them back.

Bob.. :)

Deleting these files didn't work for me. Must be coded someplace else...

Is there a way to load or save a flight plan? I searched this forum with no results. Thanks.

No you cannot load or save a flight plan.

Thanks Ken, I find it disappointing that the 'reviews' I read did not mention that a basic flight plan function such as save a plan is missing. I'll write my own.

Nope.   My biggest issue with this Navigraph/FMS addon...

Ditto!

As far as plain flying, the a/c is fun but the issues with the FMS make any serious flying unacceptable.

Too bad because it is a beautiful bird.

I contacted Carenado about the cluttered and unreadeable MFD.  Their reply was that they will consider a fix in a future patch.

Might help if more people contact them as well.  Maybe that would pressure them a little bit.
