Please do a flight from Banff to Vancouver , the mountains are something .

 

I don't know why but from Banff till just North of Vancouver i just get bloody 9 fps the damn GPU goes nuts down there.

I did just that...and wowzer....great shots!  You captured XP at it's best!

X-Plane can look very atmospheric, especially at dawn/dusk and in with cloudy weather. The sim reminds me of Flight Unlimited III like that - the pure visuals  and scenery are perhaps not quite as good as other sims, but combined with the lighting, colors and haze it can look absolutely stunning.
