IFR -ILS landing(PMDG747 ) or autolanding in IFR plan....?

hey guyz i have encountered a problem while using the pmdg 747 flight plan ifr ..... I am using the software  FpnConv2 for converting the default route(IFR) to the .rte file format.... while i was nearing my destination airport iI couldn't find my landing runway nor the nav/rad button was showing the landing runway(which was not planned earlier) so can u help out how to plan... do the stuff like planing the landing runway and doing the autoland/ils land with IFR  plans.....?????

You need to brush up your knowlege on STARS.  These generally will transition you from your final waypoint in your flightplan to the approach for a specific runway.

 

You need to select a landing runway and STAR in the FMC. The FMC will autotune the ILS frequency, although you can select it yourself.

 

Some runways do not have STARS , or it may be that the STAR does not transition you to the runway. In these cases in the real world you would expect to be vectored by ATC to the runway. In the sim you have to improvise.

i didn't understand that either .. pls help me out as i am a amatuer i just wanna know that how to land using ils and ifr flight plans in pmdg747 using FpnConv2 or any other software u like !!!!! pls help me out guyzz i really love the simulator

I realize the 747 has been out for a long time and so has more documentation. Are these types of educational materials planned for the 777...in time?
