Can anyone summarise what this is about?  I'm at work and cannot see the video.

Is is simply that the older (1.3) version of FSRecorder is now working in 2.5, or is it one of the later versions?

This has been discussed in several other threads, summarizing:

- Only the older FS Recorder v1.331 works in P3Dv2.5

- You need to have the legacy FSX-SP1 SimConnect installed

- You need to run P3D as administrator

Oh ok, I thought it was something new given Rich's commentary.

Are you sure you run P3D as administrator? You need to run P3D as administrator, otherwise the FSRecorder menu entry will not show.

BTW: I just tested it with the latest hot fix (2.5.12946.0) and it still works.

Have anybody else, using the FSrecorder, experienced heavy stutter, when you get close to other recorded aircraft.

When I record a flight, save it, and then play it as traffic, Everything works fine until I get a little close to the other traffic. Then quite heavy stutter sets in.

Sounds like the guy, who recorded the video, have the same problem.

Thanks again hschuit

I chose to carry on with addon install without resolving the fsrecorder problem, on the basis that it possible needed some fs or windows component

another addon will eventually install, cause  I had followed fsrecorder install process to the letter.

And what do you know, while rummaging forums for problems installing AirTrafficManager, got the tip to install Simconnect sp1 from p3d folder redist . And that fixed both AirTrafficManager and Fsrecoder

I must say P3D install  can be very complex due to erratic support for addons, definatly much harder than fsx install

But I have moved on from the phase where I had both p3d and fsx installed, just p3d now, so I thought it worth the pain, cant manage 2 sims , its too much for me.

thanks again
