KDCA P3D2.5

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, does TropicalSim's KDCA work in P3D 2.5? Also, does it have moving Jetways or do you have to use AES (which doesn't work with P3D)

Cheers!

Don't know about the scenery but if the moving jetways work in FSX it will also work in P3D. My experience with Tropical Sim legacy scenery is that you have missing buildings and missing scenery.

In FSX you have to make sure the scenery complexity slider is up to max. In P3D, there's a building slider and you have to make sure you move that slider up too. I remember when I installed TropicalSim's KDCA in P3DV2.5, most of my buildings were missing until I moved the slider up from the default setting.

Does the jetways work? I haven't tried but doubt it as it is the same as in FSX. Needs AES. I refuse to use AES (even though I own it). I tried to check out whether the jetways worked anyway but failed miserably as I updated my Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver last night and P3D refuses to be reactivated thinking I have new hardware. It stated "Activation Failed. Code 8" "Invalid data returned from the server". Tried to find what that means on the LM website and their search engine found nothing.

But otherwise, KDCA for P3DV2.5 works great!!

Thats great news! Any other Tropical Sim scenery works? I own Cibao International and it works like a charm as well.

It works like a charm.  Just shot the RWY 19 river approach last night.   Working good and AI traffic looks great too.

But I suspect you still need AES to move the jetways?

The jetways are fixed in P3D.   While it is nice to have them move it is not a deal killer for me for such a good looking airport.   Besides, GSX does what I need it to.
