June 19, 200520 yr when i used to fly without ifr and just requesting to land once i got to the airport i could easily give myself a full 2 page flight plan with altitudes, rate of descent, airways, headings ILS and all that info. The ifr just leaves me in a zig zaggy line and gives me approach vectors from over 160 miles away, ive got no idea where i am, it doesnt follow any reasonable approach procedure, and it screws up all my planning. Obviously ill be fine if i keep listening to ATC bit i need some kind of written/back up plan in the cockpit like pilots do in real life. as the ATC just leads me all over the place. Even worse, ill go from a random crusing ALT such as FL260 or 320 then suddenly get told to go to 3300, from that sudden change its really hard to work out a rate of descent and no exactly when the descent will start.i know i #### off every1 on avsim and ask a lot but i really need some help on this as its so annoying, FS isnt even following the correct Approach for gods sake. Now on avsim will i get a more accurate realistic approach and then be vectored on the headings that are the same as they are in real life too? so i can have an approach chart handy and follow it.Also on avsim will they tell me to go from 30 000 to 25 000 etc and not just a sudden drop, and guide me on my route up to the point of entry of the approach.i know its been a long post so its okay if u dont write back much. im sorry for pissing off everyone on avsim with my barrage of questions but i promise once FS's is all totally ###### and span ill bugger off from here.
