It would be easier to find the end of a rainbow than Realtrim X

Featured Replies

I've been wanting to try out "Realtrim X" for a while now, so decided to give it a go today.

On Googling to find Realtrim, there are many links on the web to a Wiki page about it - but they're all dead.

So I found this new Wiki for RealTrim (FS9) and Realtrim X (FSX) :-

https://github.com/nmeier/fscode/wiki/Realtrim

There is no download link in the wiki, and despite lots of searches of the AVSIM File Library, and Flightsim.com File Library I've been unable to find the actual download anywhere!

That Wiki refers to a download called Realtrimx.zip but I cannot find this file anywhere in the 'net.

Can anyone clever than me (not hard!), point me towards where on Earth Realtrim X can be downloaded from?

Alternatively, given that it's freewhere, if anyone has Realtrim X and could share it with me, could you please drop me a PM.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT:   Ok, I finally found it, buried deep in the developers core coding repository.

If anyone wants to avoid the pain I just had finding it, here's the direct link :-

PS.... it's now at v1.8

Hello,

I find it few weeks ago (same address) and was about to give you the target.... B)

I would like to get your feed back.

So far, I am not fully convinced - I still have to test it on differents aircrafts.

May be results depends on what aircraft it is used for ?

Hi Gerard,

It's very novel and fun to use at first.  But I must admit it feels a little like cheating.  Trimming becomes just too easy. I think it may be more realistic for small GA aircraft, than for airliners.

But I am sticking with it for a while anyway, as I guess I'm feeling quite lazy!
